Participants will receive a professional recording of performance and certificate of participation upon request.
Concerts will be open to the public. They will be videotaped & posted on DEIB Festival website

Cabaret-style performance that involves students, faculty, and the community from across artistic disciplines. Performances can range from singing, dancing, poetry reading, monologues, dialogues, stand-up comedy, etc.
When Music Speaks and Moves II

Interested musicians/students will be collaborating with selected dancers/student choreographers from the UW Dance Department or dancers from the local communities. Dancers will create/choreograph a piece to a solo /duo work (e.g. a piece for solo piano or solo oboe or duo piece for an instrument/voice and piano) by underrepresented composers, living composers or systematically and historically marginalized composers. The DEIB Festival team will pair a soloist /duo with one dancer or two dancers (for pas de deux) so they can start brainstorming and collaborating.

Masterclass with Dr. Artina McCain with selected students. Works by underrepresented, living composers, and systematically and historically marginalized composers are highly encouraged (but not necessarily required). Performances on piano solo, chamber and collaborative works are possible.
